Having cut his teeth in Burgundy with the likes of Olivier Leflaive, Richard Hilton moved to the vineyards and wineries of South Africa in 1996. With the aim of refining the technique of matching varietal to vineyard site, he set up his own winery in 2003 and buys only the best, low-yield fruit in order to achieve his goal. His production is tiny and demand for his wines is high. Stunning tropical fruits on the nose and palate, exotic and refined, with refreshing balancing acidity, this is a lovely wine.
