Just over the back of the hill, sharing much the same soil and almost the same aspect, here you can still get wines with more than a passing resemblance to Meursault without the price tag. Matrot’s Saint Romain is plump, fresh and racy with gorgeous citrus fruit, drinking beautifully now and pulling no punches.
