Bishop's Head Pinot Noir for your Spiral Cellar?

A Burgundy pretender, Bishop's Head Pinot Noir is really catching the attention of the UK's wine writers...

In his January recommendations for Spiral Cellars (www.spiralcellars.co.uk), Master of Wine Tim Atkin finds Bishop's Head Pinot Noir "a much better bet than the 2008 or 2007 Burgundies at this price".

Tim continues, "this Kiwi Pinot is a new estate to me, but I love its wines: soft, forward and aromatic, but with hidden depth, refreshing acidity and a touch of savoury oak."
