'I rate Private Cellar very highly and I like what they do. After all, with previous experience at Armit, Corney & Barrow and Lay & Wheeler, its principals should know what they're about by now. It's a happily relaxed and unstuffy outfit. They take the time and trouble to get to know their suppliers and their customers - and journalists too, come to that! The bottom line though, is that their wines are quirky, interesting, fairly-priced and - most important of all - bloody good.'
