Legras & Haas scores high!

We were thrilled to hear from Jérôme Legras that his superb champagnes have received great reviews in both Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar and The Wine Spectator (Nov 30/2011 issue).

The popular Brut Tradition NV was singled out as follows:

Champagne Legras & Haas Brut Tradition NV
Wine Spectator Score: 91 Points

This elegant Champagne offers subtle flavors of apple and pear tart, anise and candied lemon zest, with a hint of rich brioche. Fresh and firm, with a light grain to the texture and a smoky mineral finish. Drink now through 2020. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. (Nov 30, 2011)

Champagne Legras & Haas Brut Tradition NV
Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar Score: 90 Points

Light gold. Mineral-driven aromas of lime, lemongrass, chalk and honeysuckle. Fresh citrus and orchard fruit flavors are complemented by deeper notes of smoky lees and sweet butter. Seems like there's more chardonnay in here than 60%. A racy, finely etched Champagne that will be excellent with fresh shellfish.
