Mas Franch Optim - Award winning wine!
On June 10 and 11, a team of 16 judges led by Tim Atkin MW tasted nearly 900 wines to select a line-up of the best Spanish wines available to the UK's consumers and we were thrilled to see that our own MAS FRANCH OPTIM made the grade!
After two days of intense scrutiny the judges had chosen a total of 124 wines – 15 more than last year. This reflected the high quality on offer, as Atkin says: “We were particularly impressed by the quality of the reds from the 2004 and 2005 vintages, which were a big improvement on 2002 and 2003.”
The results also reveal a broader selection than previously seen in this event, which means that a greater variety of Spanish wines are finding their way on to retailers’ shelves – good news for Spain.
