Private Cellar supports the Get a-Head Charity
The Get a-head Charity Dinner

Tom Bromwich, Nigel Wray and John Watkinson of the Get a-head charity
We were thrilled to be involved in the second Get a-head Dinner on 11th June to support a cause that is very close to Laura’s heart. The charity, whose Vice Chairman is top surgeon and Private Cellar customer John Watkinson, helps people with head and neck diseases, especially those with cancer, supporting research into its prevention and cure.
The guests at the dinner, organised by Tom Bromwich at the Leamington Real Tennis Court Club, raised over £4,000 for the charity and were treated to a delicious menu prepared by former Royal chef Pino Iacaruso, himself a patient of Professor Watkinson and loyal supporter of the charity. The speaker and guest of honour was Get a-head patron Nigel Wray, the entrepreneur and Chairman of Saracens Rugby Club.
We worked closely with Pino to match our wines to his delicious menu with the best match of the night being our Villa Wolf Pinot Gris with a smoked salmon, cream cheese and dill tartlet – highly recommended! The star wine of the night was the delicious 2002 Château la Croix Canon.
