Tipples with Ripples - the Weekend FT
John Stimpfig explores the ups and downs of on board wine storage in his article "Tipples with Ripples" in the Weekend FT and he asked Andrew for his views...
"... When considering clarets, Andrew Gordon, managing director of Private Cellar, says, "Personally, I wouldn't recommend anything older than 1990." He is sceptical about drinking claret in the heat of summer and advises to go "for something a bit lighter, such as red or white burgundy, plenty of jolly good rosé, a bit of refreshing German riesling and, of course, lots of good champagne."
All of which are, of course, available on Private Cellar's website! Please browse our wine list or call us on 01353 721 999 for more summer drinking ideas.
