Founded by Henri Chauvet at the beginning of the 1900s, the Champagne Chauvet estate comprises 8.4 hectares in the 1er cru village of Rilly la Montagne, near Reims. The business is now run by third generation Chauvets, Mathilde and Damien, who produce our wonderful Blanc de Noirs from their 100% rated Pinot Noir grapes with the addition of a small amount of Pinot Meunier.
Champagne Chauvet’s traditional chalk cellars, constructed in 1892, are situated 10 metres below ground, allowing for perfect maturation conditions at a constant temperature of 10oC. Here the wines are aged for a minimum of three years before being moved to the pupitres where they are turned by hand before being disgorged, corked and prepared for sale.
Grape Varieties: 90% Pinot Noir, 10% Pinot Meunier
