Domaine Lucien Boillot
Based in Gevrey Chambertin, Domaine Lucien Boillot has vineyards in no less than 14 different appellations across the Côte d’Or, principally in premier crus in the Côte de Nuits. Most recently they have bought some 1er Cru Puligny, the first vintage of which was made in 2006.
The wines are made by Pierre Boillot, who is something of a traditionalist, allowing the terroir to express itself through minimal intervention in the cellar. New wood is kept to no more than 25-30% on premiers and grands crus, and the wines undergo a long maceration post fermentation to extract the colour and tannins, meaning that they are very tight for the first 4-5 years, broadening in with age.
We are currently listing the Domaine's delicious Volnay Villages, which can be purchased by clicking on the wine names below.
