Technical Sheet |
Owned by the Vialard family since 1895, Cissac lies just to the west of Pauillac and St Estèphe, on one of the highest points in the Médoc – a grand 27.5 metres above sea level. Here, although Cabernet Sauvignon dominates, there is a relatively high percentage of Merlot giving the wine a roundness and suppleness to counterbalance the stricter Cabernet tannins.

Deep inky black in colour, semi opaque perfumed with crushed, juicy black fruit notes leading to a palate of crunchy black skinned fruits, tactile with a hint of cedar and ripe fruit behind, fresh and juicy, nicely intense with supple tannins behind and going to a fine, fruited finish.
