Having worked alongside her father at Taittinger for more than 20 years Virginie Taittinger bought her own Champagne House (and everything in it) in Sillery in 2019. She feels incredibly blessed to now work with her son, Ferdinand Pougatch Taittinger who, after graduating from McGill University in Canada, spent 3 years working in the wine and spirit world in New York before moving home to take over as Chef de Cave.

Virginie T's new house cuvée, based on the 2012, 2013 and 2014 vintages, a blend of 70% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Meunier, the majority (85%) from premier and grand cru vineyards; this spent eight years on lees before disgorging. Pale with a fine stream of bubbles, with a rich, yeasty autolytic nose, biscuity and savoury, leading to a bright citrus-infused palate, a hint of orange zest, again biscuity, mineral too, and going to a lovely, poised finish.
