Burgundy Famille Vincent

Under Napoleonic inheritance rules which split properties down strict, legal lines, inevitably many families have distant cousins with a few rows of vines here and there and absolutely no interest in either looking after them or harvesting the fruit. To counter this, the Vincent family of Château Fuissé look after their family's vineyards for them, so that the wines can be made and sold on their behalf. Formerly under the JJ Vincent label, this has now been changed to the more explanatory name of Famille Vincent. Antoine Vincent has been the general manager and winemaker of these vines since 2003.
The Vincent family who have owned château Fuissé for five generations since 1862, assures the continuity of the Domaine. Thanks to the transmission of the family’s savoir-faire gained over three centuries, each generation has added land, improved quality and enhanced the wines of Château de Fuissé.
Vineyards
As you would expect the family’s land is quite expansive. The Château de Fuissé’s vineyards, located in southern Burgundy, cover more than 40 hectares (+100 acres) spanning five appellations, including: Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran, Mâcon-Villages, Mâcon-Fuissé, Bourgogne-Blanc and Juliénas.
Wines
Château Fuissé give special and responsive care to all their vines resulting in exquisite wines.
“The respect for terroir, the vintage and the Chardonnay varietal are the three essentials of the Château de Fuissé wines. The vinification is adapted to the specifics of each parcel.
Vineyard expression, natural ripeness, concentration and minerality form the identity and character of our great White Burgundy wines” – Antoine Vincent
