The Chatin family at Château de Respide has a firm eye on environmental responsibility with HVE certification and hedgerows chattering with birds and buzzing with bees. Their aim is to produce great wine with no environmental impact and with the lowest possible carbon footprint from their estate which dates back to 1630 and lies on sandy gravel soils with a clay subsoil, close to Sauternes. With experience working in South America and Champagne, Amélie and Pierre-Edouard bring international expertise to the property's vineyards - which average around 30 years' old - and cellar.
