Rully Clos du Moulin à Vent, Domaine Rois Mages 2023

Over the past few years, Anne-Sophie Debavelaere has been stepping back in favour of her son, Félix, who has won the Côte Chalonnaise ‘emerging talent’ winemaker award twice – félicitations, Félix! The Clos du Moulin à Vent is at the southern end of the Rully appellation facing south east on clay soils, which give power and elegance combined.

And did you know that in the 19th century, some négociants used to call Rully white wines ‘little Meursaults’? According to Vins de Bourgogne “this was not to copy them, but to highlight their stylistic similarities: roundness, elegance and tension.”
