Tulbagh is some way north of Stellenbosch and east of Swartland, on the edge of the winelands and in a natural amphitheatre created by three mountain ranges. Rijk’s belongs to the Dorrington family who planted their vines in the late 1990s, focusing on Chenin, Pinotage and Syrah which thrive on their shale soils.
