L’Exuberance Rosé du Clos Cantenac, Bordeaux 2025

100% Merlot, fermented and aged in 60% tank, 40% oak, of which one barrel was new. The hot summer of 2025 meant that the grapes were picked at the end of August, a good two weeks earlier than the cool 2024s; yields were well down and as a result there are no magnums in 2025. Very pale pink with a nose of leafy red berry fruit, some red cherry, fresh with a light grilled note behind, going to a deliciously succulent palate of juicy red cherry fruit, cool and waxy, leafy with a bramble note, and finishing deliciously long.
