The team at Arlot are very happy with their 2023s which gave them some 43 hectolitres per
hectare, their largest harvest since 2009, and stands in stark contrast to their 2024 average of 8 hl/ ha. Individual terroirs really stand out in 2023, with each cru markedly different from its neighbour – it is hard sometimes to remember that these vines are in contiguous vineyards, not split across several kilometres!

As of the 2022 vintage, the young vines from La Gerbotte have been included in the Nuits St Georges 1er Cru Blanc blend; in the other plots the vines average 40 – 50 years old. There is 3 to 4% Pinot Gris in the blend here, with just under 25% new oak. Pale gold with a rich and intense nose, grilled with white stone fruits, semi-tropical, nougat and citrus, leading to a beautifully fresh, saline palate with notes of grilled nuts, candied angelica, leafy and with an incredibly long, poised, rich yet pure finish.
