The young proprietors of this old family Domaine, Romain and Baptiste Poirrotte, took over the reins in 2015 when they were in their early 20s. They have since instituted many changes, including planting some land in Monthélie and Volnay with Chardonnay as it suits the soils better, and working out which vineyards need more work on them. With only one premier cru in Volnay, they have begun to separate out their higher performing lieux dits to mature and bottle separately
